CAKE POP SUNDAY
Technique 1: crumble a baked cake, mix with butter icing and use your hands to roll into balls. Leave to cool. Dip half an inch of a stick into melted chocolate chocolate, spear into the cake ball and leave to chill in the freezer. Once very cold, dip into melted chocolate and decorate.
Technique 2: make a cake batter and using a bad-ass cake pop maker (looks like a waffle maker), make prefect little cakey spheres. Leave to cool and spear, freezer-chill, dip and decorate away.
Which’s better, I hear you cry? Neither. 1 gets you mighty chocolatey and gives you super sweet delisciousness. Two gives you spherically aesthetic perfection and really clean hands.
Both make a cake on a stick which means you’re winning the whole way.
